In addition to these networking and business events the Spatial Sciences Institute and a variety of other organisations, both public and private, also offer professional events. The Australian Spatial Industry Portal maintains an Events Calendar, which lists all major Australian and worldwide events and conferences in the spatial information industry.

Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards

The annual Asia-Pacific Spacial Excellence Awards (APSEA) are the premier event for recognising excellence in the industry and profession. The 2008 Presentation Dinner will be held in Canberra, on Tuesday 18th November 2008 at Rydges Lakeside Canberra. ASIBA Annual General Meeting 2008
The Annual General Meeting is usually held at the end of the year in conjunction with APSEA and the Asia Pacific Spatial Innovation Conference. The 2008 AGM will be held at National Surveyors House, 27-29 Napier Close, Deakin ACT commencing at 5.00pm on 17th November 2008.
